⚙️ Settings and Configuration

Access Settings​

To open the settings panel:

  1. Click on your profile in the header (top right)
  2. OR: Click the ⚙️ icon
  3. The panel opens on the right side of the screen

User Profile​

Displayed Information​

  • Avatar: Initials (first name + last name)
  • Full name: First and last name
  • Email: Account email address
  • Username: Unique identifier
  • Credit balance: Real-time display

Edit Profile​

  1. Settings → "Profile" section
  2. Click "Edit profile"
  3. Modify:
    • First name
    • Last name
    • Email
    • Password (optional)
  4. Save changes
Unique Email

The email address must be unique in the system. If the email is already in use, you will receive an error.

Interface Language​

Alex supports 5 languages:

  • 🇫🇷 Français
  • 🇬🇧 English
  • 🇩🇪 Deutsch
  • 🇮🇹 Italiano
  • 🇪🇸 Español

Change Language​

  1. Click on the language selector in the header
  2. Select your language
  3. The interface updates instantly
Response Language

Alex automatically detects the language of your question and responds in that language, independently of the interface language.

Streaming Mode​

Streaming mode displays Alex's responses word by word in real-time (like ChatGPT).

Enable/Disable​

  1. Settings → "Streaming mode"
  2. Toggle ON/OFF

Streaming mode is enabled by default for a better user experience.

Notifications​

Alex sends in-app notifications to alert you:

Notification Badge​

A red badge appears on the 🔔 icon in the header indicating the number of unread notifications.

Notification Panel​

  1. Click on the 🔔 icon
  2. The panel opens on the right
  3. Filter: Unread / All
  4. Actions:
    • ✓ Mark as read
    • ✕ Dismiss
    • Custom action button (depending on type)

Management​

  • Mark all as read: Button at top of panel
  • Automatic polling: Check every 15 minutes
  • Real-time: Immediate notification during actions (credit purchase, etc.)
Email Notifications (Coming Soon)

An option to receive certain notifications by email will be added soon.

Credits​

Display​

  • Current balance: At top of section
  • "Purchase Credits" button: Quick access to packs

Actions​

  1. Purchase credits → See dedicated section
  2. Consumption history → Transaction details
  3. Purchase history → Stripe transactions

Conversation Management​

Delete All Conversations​

Warning

This action is irreversible and deletes all your conversations. Consumed credits are not refunded.

  1. Settings → "Conversations"
  2. Click "Delete all conversations"
  3. Confirm action in popup

Logout​

To log out of Alex:

  1. Settings → "Logout" button (at bottom)
  2. OR: Click on your profile → "Logout"
Secure Session

Your JWT token is deleted, you will need to log in again to access Alex.

Accessibility​

Alex respects accessibility standards:

  • Keyboard navigation: All buttons accessible via keyboard
  • ARIA labels: Screen readers supported
  • Contrast: WCAG 2.1 level AA compliance
  • Dark mode: Automatic detection of system preferences

Personal Data​

Privacy​

  • Your conversations are private and not shared
  • No banking data stored (managed by Stripe)
  • GDPR compliance

Account Deletion (Coming Soon)​

An account deletion option will be available soon:

  • Deletion of all personal data
  • Anonymized retention of usage statistics (GDPR)
  • Retention period: 30 days
